Koh Wei Lian

Wei Lian is an artist from Singapore who specialises in the ancient art of gold leaf gilding. Inspired by medieval European art and illuminated manuscripts, her works frequently draw from the themes and motifs of that vast period of history. Her passion for medieval aesthetics influences her approach of combining gilding with painting and the application of such techniques on flat surfaces and 3D objects made of various materials.  Her works are in private collections across several countries and she was involved in the restoration of St Joseph's Church (Victoria Street).
