A series inspired by the theme of Motherhood, the imagery in these paintings chronicle my recent love of crochet in preparation for my firstborn son. The interplay of fabric and crocheted items evoke an excitement of creating positive ideas with his friends in this painting. The sunflowers on the fabric depict positivity and hope; it is my hope that he will fulfill all the ideals to make the world a better place, surrounded by love and friendship.
