“Hiraeth” was painted by Regine in June 2023 using the acrylic pouring technique. As suggested by the name of the artwork, it is an artwork that symbolises yearning and loneliness. The colours found in the artwork were intentionally selected to invoke strong emotions of remembrance, pain, trauma and healing. It is an artwork that yearns to be at a better place, yet, regardless of efforts, was unable to do so.
